Specialising in care and support for adults with learning disabilities.
Selborne Care provides care and support for people with a learning disability who may have associated mental health needs and may exhibit degrees of challenging behaviour. We have the experience and understanding to meet the needs of people with a wide range of disabilities, including those within the autistic spectrum.
Birmingham based Selborne House and Smethwick based Selborne Mews are community based residential services providing high quality, personalised care and support to help people lead ordinary lives. We also provide community based supported living services at Gwen Deane House in Worcester.
Selborne Care prides itself on being a quality provider of specialist, flexible and innovative care and support for people with learning disabilities. We believe the key to successfully meeting the needs of people in our care is the skills, qualities and attitudes of our staff. After a rigorous selection process, all staff complete a full induction programme, followed by ongoing training and supervision to ensure high quality service is achieved.
Selborne Care promotes the philosophy that all care packages will:
- Be person-centred
- Be provided in a safe environment
- Be founded on calculated risk taking
- Be community and socially inclusive
- Promote participation of parents, families, friends and advocates
